Locals stage protest in Nowshera Rajouri after cop allegedly opens fire in marriage ceremony | KNO

Rajouri, May 04 (KNO): A cop allegedly fired with his service weapon in a marriage ceremony in Nowshera town of Rajouri after which the locals of the area staged a protest demonstration, demanding immediate action against the accused cop. According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), locals said that a heated arguments took place between the cop and a local person during a marriage ceremony in the town following which the cop allegedly fired from his service weapon. "Although everyone including the local person escaped unhurt but such an incident is grave in nature and could have resulted in the loss of lives," said the protesting people while demanding action against the cop. Meanwhile, Police said that the investigation of the matter has been started and the cop has also been detained. Notably, the was reportedly posted as PSO with the chairman of the Municipal Committee of Nowshera—(KNO)
